ABT’s new 840hp Scatenato unleashes the Lamborghini Urus SUV’s raging bull
A new chapter in ABT Sporstline’s long history has begun this year with a tuning programme for the Lamborghini Urus. The Urus Scatenato is ABT’s first tuning package for a Lamborghini and signifies an extension of the company’s tuning expertise towards the pinnacle of Audi Group’s vehicles.
This year also saw ABT’s Motorsport division return to the Nürburgring 24 Hours, running a Lamborghini Huracán GT3 EVO2. This marks the team’s 10th appearance at the Nordschleife 24hr and represents a first for ABT Motorsport competing with a Lamborghini.
“We are excited about this new motorsport partnership. Lamborghini is a great brand full of history and passion for motorsport and sports cars,” says Thomas Biermaier, CEO of ABT Sportsline. “We have already experienced many emotional moments on the Nordschleife over the past two decades and now want to start a new chapter together with Lamborghini.
Transferring its motorsport pedigree to the road, ABT has become the first representative of the Italian sports car manufacturer to become an ABT complete vehicle. Limited to just 99 vehicles worldwide the Scatenato is surely to become a highly sought after Urus in years to come, something that we are already seeing with the tuner’s high performance, limited edition Audi vehicles..
“The Urus is the super sports car among SUVs. With our carbon aero package we will give the front, flanks and rear even more speed and drama,” the managing partner of the Bavarian tuning company, Hans-Jürgen ABT, is certain: “We have also found a new design for the perfect set of forged rims for the vehicle – let us surprise you!”
The tuner’s Power R Performance Upgrade adds a new turbocharger and intercooler increasing the Urus’s Bi-Turbo V8 output from 666hp to an enormous 840hp and 1000Nm. For those worried about how this performance will affect the warranty, fear not, a 3 year warranty to the extent of the manufacturer’s warranty up to 100,000km is also included.
The upgrades continue with an aerodynamic package comprising new front spoiler, rear skirt and rear wing, amongst other exterior refinements, all finished in carbon gloss. The widened wheel arch extensions provide cover for the new high performance IRL23in alloys. A new exhaust completes the exterior featuring 4 pipe titanium tailpipe trims finished in matt black.
The interior sees a host of enhancements to the dashboard cover, gear selector, seat frames and covers, as well as integrated entrance lights and door sills. The dashboard inlay with the Scatenato “1 of 99” lettering provides occupants with the knowing that they are in a very rare and limited edition vehicle.

Whilst this is the Kempten based tuner’s first package for a Lamborghini, ABT have clearly not held back and it’s evident that the company’s motorsport pedigree and its vast tuning experience across other VAG vehicles are present in the Scatenato. The 3 year warranty demonstrates ABT’s confidence in its products and will give customers peace of mind that all that power certainly does not come at the cost of long term reliability.
The Scatenato will be a welcome choice for those in the market for a professionally tuned Urus, particularly those looking for a package which provides a power upgrade coupled with tasteful design enhancements. Right Hand Drive versions are available and customers in the UK and Ireland should contact Richter Automotive to secure their build slot for a 2024 delivery. Further details for Richter Automotive are here.
As ABT’s first Lamborghini, this is an exciting step for the tuner and we look forward to seeing future Lamborghini models benefit from the ABT treatment. One thing is for certain, it definitely seems that ABT has taken the bull by the horns.
